Easy Banana Bread with only 8 ingredients
Customize it by adding in chocolate chips or make it into muffins everyone will enjoy!

- 1/2 cup salted butter room temperature
- 1 cup granulated
- 2 eggs room temperature
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- dash salt
- 3 bananas mashed
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips optional
In a small mixing bowl add flour, baking soda and nutmeg. Whisk for approx. 20 seconds and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add butter and sugar and mix until well combined.
Add in mushed bananas and mix until bananas are well combined with butter and sugar mixture.
Add in vanilla and eggs one at a time, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed.
Add dry ingredients (and 1/2 cup chocolate chips if you choose) and mix until combined but be careful not to over mix. If adding chocolate chips, set remaining 1/2 cup aside for topping.
Set batter aside and line a standard loaf pan with parchment paper. Clip bulldog clips over the side to keep the paper from moving when you pour the batter into the pan.
Pour batter in pan and with spatula, smooth top and make sure batter is evenly distributed in the pan.
OPTIONAL: Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.
Bake 50-60 mins. Let cool completely before serving.
