Get to know Ally – baker and teacher!
Hey, I’m Ally. Nice to meet you!
I love to bake and share my knowledge with others!
A few things you should know about me:
- I have two Yorkies – Nutmeg and Pistachio
- When I am not blogging or baking I am a retail store manager.
- Give me a bag of plain ruffles chips and I’ll be a happy camper!
I’ve always had an interest in photography and I’ve wanted to start a blog but I could never really figure out what I would blog about! I’ve considered fashion, DIY crafting and more – why baking never came to mind I have no idea!
I hear quite often “I used your recipe but it didn’t taste the same!” and maybe it is because food sometimes just tastes better when someone else makes it for you or if it really is the little things that make a difference.
Let’s figure it out together!
I’m here to share what I know with you and maybe we can learn from each other about baking, entertaining and life in general.
I started baking as a child with my grandmother June and continued into adulthood. It is self care for me but also a way to spread joy to those in my life by sharing with others.
Flash forward to today…
I started my online bakeshop “Ally and June’s” in 2020, during a Covid lock down. We couldn’t be with friends or loved ones so I decided to make some surprise deliveries of baked goods. It was so fun to see everyone excited for fresh baking and brought some normalcy to a uncertain time.
