I've been drawing and painting since I was a kid and went to art college but then didn't use it as I grew into my adult years. 

Through the pandemic, like most I found my creative side again and started my baking instagram and blog. While I had many items that were popular, some of my most popular items were my hand painted sugar cookies. I knew I didn't want to spend the rest of my life baking everyday so I started looking for a new place to use my artistic skills.

I started upstate design studio in 2022 where I was drawing pet portraits, making Christmas cards, and designing logos.

I've always loved anything to do with weddings so in 2024 I launched weddings by upstate. Between creating invites and live sketching it's been an amazing journey being a part of everyone's big days and family events.

In 2025, we've kept the paper goods going on our online site & at markets in and around Winnipeg, MB. Weddings by Upstate continues to offer live sketching wedding favours and custom and semi-custom stationery.

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CA, 
but originally from the east coast.

I have 2 dogs named Nutmeg and Pistachio.

My favourite snacks include plain ruffles and cucumbers.

I don't like working with warm tones,
almost everything I do is a base of green, blue and neutrals.
